Our journey

I kept asking why.
We built the answer.

My story — and my partner's too. I asked the questions. He helped me build the solution.

Late 2024 — the question that wouldn't go away
Everyone around me had data. Nobody could read it.

Friends selling on Meesho, relatives managing shop inventory, neighbours tracking orders on Excel — all of them had spreadsheets full of information. None of them could easily get answers from it without calling someone technical.

"It's your own data. You should just be able to ask it something."

My partner works in data engineering. He'd been watching the same problem from the other side — business owners who couldn't access their own data without going through an analyst first. We looked at each other and said: with AI where it is today, this is finally solvable. So we built it.

Early 2025 — building it
I drove the product. He built the engine.

I focused on what Indian SMB owners actually need — what a Meesho seller asks, what a kirana owner wants to know, what language feels natural. He handled the technical side: file parsing, SQL generation, the AI layer.

One thing I was firm about from the start: actual business data should never leave the user's machine. Customer names, phone numbers, order details — none of it goes to any AI. Only column names and masked sample rows do. Everything else stays with you.

Now — live and growing
Real people. Real files. Real answers.

Where Clarveda stands today

Clarveda is live at clarveda.io — built by two people from Pune. It reads CSV, Excel, ODS, TSV, JSON, XML, and HTML files. It understands GST columns, Meesho reports, Tally exports. PII is masked automatically. Charts and insights in seconds.

The goal is simple: every Indian business owner should be able to ask their data a question and get an answer. No analyst. No SQL. No waiting.

If this resonates — as a user or just someone curious — I'd love to hear from you.
